I think it just doesn't do very well and likely gets flagged often. If I type his domain name into the search bar there are only three articles.

I mean, I get that the tone might not be liked by everyone, but his work does raise some IMO valid concerns about the economics LLMs, which I don't see discussed around here very often. Then again, I get that AI has AI-friendly owners.

I agree with you, but until very recently it was super rare to see anything other than techno-optimism about LLMs on this site. I assume partially for the reason you bring up.

That's definitely not true, read the initial threads about GitHub Copilot and Stable Diffusion on HN.

Tend to get flagged; there's a minority here who react to any open criticism of our benevolent future robot overlords badly.

On this site they're the majority. You can find much more nuance anywhere else, in here is just mostly fervent AI- and techno-optimism.

I think AI boosters may be in the majority here, but I do think that the "they most not speak ill of our robot gods; mass-flag them to hide the heresy" tendency is a minority.
